I’ve gotten myself into a orange frenzy today!
I just can’t stop eating oranges at the moment. I’ve got Nippy’s navel oranges and their rather delicious. But I like to peel my oranges when I eat them at home. It brings me back to my childhood days, when i was a little girl and my mum would peel oranges (and she still does) and feeds them to me 🙂
So, today’s Zendoodle is orange inspired.
But there’s a little orange twist to today’s Zendoodle. I decided to add some colour, just to experiment.
I had seen a few coloured ones and I wasn’t too sure if I liked them, but I knew I definitely preferred the black and white though.
I went to Jackson’s Art Supplies and bought some permanent ink (apparently those “other ” ones that look like they’re permanent fade after a while).
I’m not sure if I like this one at all. But my Rupert (my husband’s alias – he’s always wanted to be a Rupert in a fiction novel) really likes this orange inspired Zentangle.
The Stages
What do you think? Colour or no colour?
Or maybe I could try a different colour.
Great to try something different with colour but I’m in agreeance with you, there’s something “Zen” about the harmony of black and white!
I completely agree with you Li-Sa. There’s a zen-ness about keeping things simple in black and white. I think there’s a time and place for colour but I don’t think it’s for me.
