When I found out that the next Perth Urban Sketchers meet up was going to be in South Perth I was elated. I used to live in South Perth during my university days and despite moving to the coast in recent years I still come here to enjoy the riverside scenery. The open green spaces surrounding the Swan River near the city makes me feels a great sense of gratitude that I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
I’m sure you’d agree with me 😉
Picnic and the Paperbark Tree
Sharing pre-Christmas fruit mince homemade pies, chilled watermelon, veggie crisps, hummus dip sitting under the paperbark tree was the perfect way to enjoy our final urban sketching session for 2017.
Sadly not all urban sketchers could join us today. I guess as the festive season was nearing everyone’s diaries were filling up with celebrations.
The People of South Perth
I’ve never been a big people sketcher but today I decided a collage of the people I saw enjoying the perfect December Sunday morning.
See you in 2018 !!
