Time for a Sandwich

November 3, 2016 By: Aggiecomment

Ice cream sandwiches are just as healthy as regular meat and veggie sandwiches right? I mean they have all the colours of the food groups which by colour definition and ice cream sandwich is very healthy!

Well, that’s what I’m saying 🙂

I was first introduced to ice cream sandwiches as a child by my older sister.  She would always buy me treats when she returned home from work.  And I remember it was the Peter’s Ice Cream Sandwich she bought for me.  The biscuit was soft and kind of gooey and the ice cream plain vanilla.

A few years ago I learned how to make my own ice cream sandwiches, maybe not so healthy because it contains a full can of condensed milk and 600mls of cream. It’s not that that makes it unhealthy, it’s that it lacks all the colours of the five food groups!  😉 .  Well, I could add colourful sprinkles and that would satisfy my health conscious mind right?
