My dad passed peacefully just over a year ago. He was 93 years young.
I haven’t written about my dad’s passing or mentioned it here on my blog. I guess sometimes things take time. Today I just want to share a very special part of my dad with you. In the process of sifting through old photos and items of my dad we stumbled upon a part of my dad’s hand written journal which he titled Blessings. We believe he had written this before he had grandchildren and possibly even before he had children maybe. .
I remember from as far back when I was a child that my dad was a man who believed in having a positive outlook on despite his life circumstances. The glass was always half full and never half empty. He was full of idioms and wise thoughtful words, his laugh was often infectious and his smile always made you smile.
Sharing our dad’s blessings in a bookmark for all our guests at his service to take away, was not only our way to say thank you for their love, support and friendship over the years but also a little reminder that his blessings are a true reflection his character and the way he approached his life, with daily gratitude.
Peter Lim’s service was a celebration of life and the lives he touched.
