I’m not too sure where this challenge originated from but when I heard that it was about to start again this year, my immediate thought was that it was perfect timing because I’ve been practicing drawing people. Last year I would have shied away from this challenge and stuck to my food sketches.
My day at Marmion beach was the ideal setting for the start of the #OneWeek100People2018 challenge. It’s a beach that I don’t think I have ever been to. Although, Autumn has just begun our Summer sunshine is still lingering. The water was refreshingly cool and there were moments where the sucking in of the belly was required before the fast “jeronimo” dunk to get the cold water torture over with.
This people sketching challenge doesn’t require you to sketch on location or from life, from photos, from your imagination is all possible. It’s an anything goes sketching people challenge as long as you get 100 people in a week.
So for today’s sketches I have a total of 20 people in these sketches. I’m counting down!
My 2018 sketchbook is filled with may people sketches in various settings. I’m enjoying them very much telling more of story of where I am at the time. Hmmm I wonder what day 2 #OneWeek100People2018 sketches will be?
