Although I’ve attended many art classes over the past year, my art journey stems from my desire to document through sketching, my trek to Everest Base Camp early 2013.
So I have gone back to focusing on this, bought some watercolour sketching books, watched a few YouTube ” How To” videos and connected with Urban and Travel Sketchers around the world, joined a sketchcrawl meetup group and enrolled in a drawing for a travel diary course.
I’ve decided that because we intend to do more travelling in the new year that I would practice my travel and urban sketching and just have fun with it, sketching anywhere I can. Remembering that a sketch is different from a drawing. A sketch is an interpretation of what you see and not meant to be a realistic representation.
I’m excited!!
Follow me on my sketchventures where I will be sketching on location of places near and far. I will even show you how I made my own travel watercolour palette and kit, which small, light weight and very compact. I love travel size anything!
