Food vs Sketch at the Feedbox Markets in Scarborough

April 16, 2015 By: Aggiecomment

Walking down to the Feedbox  market in Scarborough on weekends, the aroma of the Moroccan Shakshuka always whispers my name in the sea breeze as I approach the bright blue tents. Torn between wanting to sketch and wanting to delight my morning taste buds, I opted for delighting my taste buds and sketching my breakfast […]

A Solo Duck at Hong Kong BBQ House

April 5, 2015 By: Aggiecomment

I had a craving that needed to be satisfied and given that my husband isn’t  a big fan, actually not a fan at all of Chinese bbq meats, and my eating buddies (my parents) eat Chinese bbq meats at least once a week, I had no one who could share my delights at a drop […]

Me Time at Freshwater Bay

March 14, 2015 By: Aggiecomment

I was having a bit of me time so I took a little drive to the river.  My favourite paddling spot, Freshwater Bay in Mosman Park. But this is my third time sketching here. I just love the peacefulness of being here.  It’s a fantastic place to just ‘be’! I have to confess,  I did […]

How I Cured My Monday Morning Blues

March 10, 2015 By: Aggie2 Comments

I spent the weekend with a horrid cold and a streaming nose and now Monday is here I was tired of being sick. Fortunately for me I live by the beach so when hubby said “I’m going for a quick dip. Do you want to come? I think it’ll be good for you”  I thought […]

The Beach Life

February 27, 2015 By: Aggiecomment

It’s been nearly two years since I moved back to the coast after many years of inner city living. I have to say my initial reluctance and hesitation in giving up the cafe strips and the ease of the more cultural life style was far out weighed with a life by the beach. I’ve seemed […]

Climbing at Mountain Quarry : Eliminate the Fear

December 17, 2014 By: Aggie2 Comments

“…….. in the third person and it eliminates the fear” I’ve been to Mountain Quarry once before.  About 30 mins from the climbing gym set in the foot hills of Perth. Given it’s December you would think that the temperature would be quite warm for a late afternoon in a quarry, but it’s still cool […]

And this particular sketch group decided that we would send our personal sketch books on an around the world artventunre.    The Monkeys are here!!!…. I ended […]

My New Suburban Bali Hide Away

September 8, 2014 By: Aggiecomment

Thanks to a close friend of mine I have found my new secret suburban Bali. I absolutely love this place and fortunate for me it’s only less than a five minute drive away from home. A cafe that sells healthy food with a gorgeous serene garden setting and beautiful items for the home to buy. […]

Loosey Goosey at Hillarys

August 16, 2014 By: Aggie1 Comment

It was such a beautifully sunny , yet cool Winter’s day when I caught up with a fellow sketch buddy for a much over due sketch date . Up till now I had been very precious with my sketchbook and would only draw in it one way and I tried to be as neat as […]

Foodie Friday : A Recipe Sketch Gift

July 19, 2014 By: Aggiecomment

One of the regular doggie park people was due to leave Perth and head back home to the US with her fiance (who’s from New Zealand) but met when they were in London, and their doggie Wolfie (who’s a Jack Russell). They’ve been living here for over two years and now it was time to […]

Hi I’m Aggie

I'm a writer, artist and blogger. In my previous life I was a psychologist. Exploring life and happiness through writing, sketching, food, travel, and people has taught me to seek joy in everything I do and be grateful for what I have. I have a playful curiosity. I like to rock climb for fun, write to tell stories, share my thoughts and insights, and sketch from daily life embracing everyday-ness .
My mission is to live authentically and mindfully everyday, and to live on purpose with passion.
If you would like to connect, I'd love to hear from you. More about Aggie ...
