Beginner’s Art Class Week 1/4 | Charcoal and Pencil Fun

May 6, 2013 By: Aggie2 Comments

I just started a four week beginners art class at Atwell Gallery in Alfred Cove.  I decided to do this as a follow on from my one day workshop at the Drawing for Non -Drawers through UWA Extensions a few months back. I had a strong desire to continue to explore and develop my creative side.  You see I’ve spent too many years being intellectual , although having said that  I would consider myself to be intuitively intellectual.

Our teacher is Donna, was once in advertising and a graphic designer, however ever since high-school she’s always enjoyed art. And now she said she’s getting back to what she loves the most and that’s teaching art.

Inside the gallery is the current exhibition titled “Promiscuous Poppies”

I’m proud of this pencil drawing. I didn’t like pencil in my previous art class but this one I enjoyed.

I’m really looking forward to week 2 .
